Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE) has issued the “Guidelines for enlistment under “Approved Models and Manufacturers of Solar Photovoltaic Modules (Requirements for Compulsory Registration) Order, 2019”: Amendment” on 07.08.2025. After a long wait now, brands are also allowed to be listed in Approved List of Models & Manufacturers (ALMM) List-I.
Since the implementation of ALMM List-I brands in retail market struggled to survive. Majorly wiping of the brand provided service network and limiting end consumers to buy from manufacturers only. Amendment clearly indicates that the brands to be listed shall have project size less (<) than 1MW.
